EBRU TV Fresh Outlook talking about Gandolfini Featuring Panelist Paul DiGaetano, Board Director of the Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition Published on Jun 24, 2013 We were shocked this week about the passing of actor James Gandolfini. He starred in many movies and on Broadway but is best remembered for the role of Tony Soprano. The head of a fictional New Jersey mob family. Gandolfini’s acting was so good – many critics say too good – that it all but cemented in the minds of this generation the Italian American mobster stereotype, and showed others that a life of crime is not that bad if you’re on the top. The show examines this and other issues his untimely passing has generated.
