BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition (ONE VOICE) – the nation’s largest Italian American anti-bias organization – publicly commends Chairperson Victoria Rosellini immediate action in removing stereotypical references from an advertisement for an event to raise funds tobenefit the children at ICSCI at Kennedy Krieger Institute after being contacted by several Italian Americans and ONE VOICE.
“We are extremely pleased that Ms. Rosellini responded so expeditiously to our concerns,” stated Dr. Manny Alfano, President of ONCE VOICE. “It is VITALLY important that we not perpetuate the denigrating and malicious maligning of our great Italian heritage and culture.”
Dr. Alfano continued, “On behalf of our Board of Directors, our members, Coalition Organizations and Italian Americans in general, ONE VOICE is asking that this worthwhile cause be supported, especially due to their excellent cooperation in addressing our concerns.”
